In 1970 Stan Robinson acquired a second hand Commer rigid and operated as an owner-driver out of his back garden. In 1972 he moved to Colwich Station Yard and in 1975 acquired the Company W.Davis & Co, along with 8 vehicles, increasing the company fleet to eighteen. 1978 brought another move to its current site at Ladfordfields,Seighford that, has now grown to almost twenty three acres, originally covering only 2.5. The Stan Robinson fleet can be seen around the country at truck shows where it has won many awards
